Terms and Conditions

1. Company Information
These terms apply to all purchases from Science Engineered Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is available on request. For enquiries, contact us at contact@scienceengineered.com.
2. Products
All products sold by Science Engineered Ltd are intended for research use only (RUO). They are not certified for clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic applications. It is the buyer's responsibility to assess suitability for their specific application.
3. Ordering and Payment
By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that the information provided is accurate. Orders are confirmed by email. We reserve the right to cancel orders if stock is unavailable, in which case a full refund will be issued.
Payment is due at the time of order unless invoice terms have been agreed in writing. Invoice terms (NET 30) are available for qualifying institutions upon request.
4. Pricing
All prices are listed in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT at the prevailing UK rate will be added at checkout for UK customers. Prices are subject to change without notice, though any orders already confirmed will be honoured at the quoted price.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch all in-stock items within 2 business days. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Standard UK delivery is 3 to 5 business days. International delivery is 7 to 14 business days. Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery.
For large or heavy items (including the NanoSpinX), delivery will be quoted separately and confirmed before dispatch.
6. Returns and Refunds
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, contact us with your order number.
Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in a condition suitable for resale. Bespoke or custom-made items are non-returnable unless faulty. Refunds will be processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned goods.
7. Warranty
All products carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, or normal wear and tear. For warranty claims, contact us with your order details and a description of the issue.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Science Engineered Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the price paid for the product in question.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Intellectual Property
All designs, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with our products remain the property of Science Engineered Ltd. Purchasers acquire no IP rights through the purchase of products.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
